When I stay in downward dog or other inversions, I feel stinging in the back of my throat and the sensation that there’s fluid going up my nose. It happens even when I’m not congested and it’s not allergy season! Does anyone have suggestions?

Oh boy! No, I don’t have any suggestions. Have you tried a neti pot before a yoga practice?
