I have been doing yoga for years but unfortunately started having pain in my leg, calf and numbness in my foot a couple of months ago. After running some tests (MRI, etc) I was told that this is due to nerve pinching in L5-S1 area. I am sure that I am not alone. It would be great to have a session devoted to some exercises to strengthen the lower lumbar area. There is a great video by David on sciatica but this is slightly different.

Thank you, Fiji! I am now able to do only Sarada’s “Subtle Joint Movements” class. This is a great class but the limitations (that pain imposes) are disappointing. I am warned that forward fold and downdog, as well as balancing exercises are not advisable, so I need to work on strengthening the lower lumbar area before returning to your classes. It is disappointing, particularly after following you for a few years. Thank you for taking this comment as an idea!
