Last week, I ran a fundraising taster session on yoga for cyclists. There was loads of interest and it was a great class. My local bike shop cleared a space so I could run the class, and it was so cool to be teaching yoga to cyclists while being surrounded by bikes hanging on the walls. Even better was that many of the people there (primarily men) had never done any yoga before and really loved it.
Donations went to a local community project (thebristolbikeproject.org) that takes in second-hand bikes, repairs them and reallocates bikes to disadvantaged communities around Bristol UK. This includes those that are recovering from addictions, are homeless or refugees. I’ll be running another fundraiser in August.
You can see a short video of the class at the below link…
It got me thinking about where’s the most unusual place you’ve ever practiced yoga?
