Hello.
I have a mat and have the option of practicing yoga on carpet or floor. Up until now I’ve always practiced on carpet, with the perks of having a bit of cushion when I fall out of an inversion or arm balance. But recently I’ve questioned whether this is ideal and that i could poetentially develop wrist problems over time with carpeted practice.
Thanks in advance.

Hello!
I don’t think you need to worry - I think it’s more a matter of preference. I’ve always preferred a hard surface myself, since it helps me with my wobbly ankles in balancing poses, but some people much prefer the padding of a carpet. If you do practice on a carpet, it’s best if it isn’t really think… that may make it challenging, since you lose stability.
