Back to yoga post surgery

Hello,
I’m in process of recovering after an open abdominal myomectomy almost 3 weeks ago. Recovery is said to be 4 to 5 weeks with limitations of no housework, like vacuuming and lifting more than 10 pounds. However, I’m feeling pretty good now and am very anxious to start doing yoga again, especially for relief of anxiety and stiffness - mostly in upper back and shoulders. I did attempt Fiji’s Yummy 30, but was unable to do a few of the poses, such as upward dog and holding plank. Could you suggest any video(s) that might be suitable to start with in this case and do you have any other advice about yoga practice post surgery?
Thanks

Hi, there.
I would highly recommend doing some classes that help strengthen your core and back. We have a few programs that might be good places to begin, such as Establish Your Core Stability and Strength, Beginner Yoga for Optimal Lower Back Health and Vinyasa Yoga for Lower Back Care with Fiji McAlpine.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Take care,
David
