Today was a yoga time when I realized about three quarters of the way through the class that I was paying attention. Not that I don’t follow all the cues and go into the poses when it’s time but today I had more of a sense that my inner self was aware of what I was actually doing. Does that make sense? Not only did I do a pose but I was aware of it. How it felt and maybe why I did it.
It was one of those AHA moments in my practice. Not sure what brought this out but I hope it happens moreso in the future.
Namaste!

Ive seen t hw phrase “jumping monkeys” when whsn various Yoga, sutra translations. Those "thoughts"vary in time and on the individual and our intense historical past. Practicing Yoga helped quiet the “jumping monkeys” over time for me. Now it takes me 5 to 10 minutes to engage in a class.

I believe this is what yoga is! Yoga means union, or oneness. We do different practices to bring is into a state of harmony where we can experience oneness, awareness, yoga. Once we have had a small glimmer of it we try to recreate it and hold it for longer.
