I came across some terms today in one of Anastasia’s classes from a while back (called Yin Yoga for Busy People) where she mentioned some references I hadn’t heard of yet. The “Five Koshas” : Annamaya Kosha, Pranamaya Kosha, Manomaya Kosha, Vijnanamaya Kosha, and Anandamaya Kosha. Curious if these are mostly connected to Yin practices and if there are resources suggested through DYWM or another source that might be recommended!
Understanding subtle body anatomy is very powerful not only in yin but in all forms of yoga. The Koshas are different layers of our being, all interconnected and interdependent. Rachel Scott teaches a great intro course on the Subtle body where you learn all about the koshas! Anyone can take this course, and it is self paced learning. Just about 3 hours in total.
