Learn How to Live with Anxiety

Hi Lloyd - I’m only on week two now and still struggling with it all. But, for what it’s worth, something that helps me in the meditations is some visualization. When I’m listening to the meditations and David says to “turn off nervous tension” or to “turn off my mind” I envision a bare burning lightbulb with a chain attached. I imagine reaching up and pulling the chain to “turn it off” so to speak. For turning off my mind, I envision the lightbulb being inside my head. For nervous tension, it’s inside my chest because that’s where I tend to carry it I think. I can actually imagine the click and the darkness in that area as the lightbulb turns off and the feel of the metal chain.
