Can you Bring Yoga and Wellness to Work?!

This week I had the opportunity to teach two yoga classes for employees at a local university. I was really impressed that this university actually allocated part of their budget weekly wellness sessions every week for employees! Not only are they bringing in instructors to teach these classes, they also have created a beautiful yoga room for them! This allows people to move their body and clear their minds during their lunch break, or come use the room throughout the day when they like.

A few of the people in the room had never heard of doyogawithme before and we’re so excited about learning about our platform, and the variety of classes that they could choose from. They realized that they would be able to take Classes anytime that worked for their schedule and based on their own personal preferences and needs. They’re lucky in that they have a room allocated in their working environment, but a few pointed out they could easily use their office space or even roll a mat out outside during their lunch break to do a short practice.

I will now be working with the University to offer subscriptions to all their employees through our corporate package! This made me realize that we should let everyone know we do this!

We all know that we are able to bring our best selves forward and do our best work when we’re feeling well in our body and clear in our minds. If you are interested in how you can bring Yoga to work with you, please feel free to reach out to me directly at fiji@doyogawithme.com

This is very interesting to me on a personal level. I keep a yoga mat and blocks in my office at work. I typically get work about an hour before everyone else shows up. I try to get up early enough to do yoga before leaving home. But on days when I’m running late—today was one of those days—I wear my workout out clothes to work, do a 30-minute class on Do Yoga with me, then change into my work clothes to start the day. This morning’s in-office class was Form and Flow with Fiji.
