Aside from more yoga asana classes, what other practices would you be interested in seeing more of on DYWM?

Hadn’t heard about this! Thanks for letting me know.

Our first cohort starts this month, I am excited to go through it with this first group!

Me too! Are the silks easier for your knee? I was constipating trying it.

I would love to learn tai chi.

I’d love more strength classes to build lower, core, and upper body strength just using body weight, with the intention of using this strength in our yoga practice (ie don’t lose range of motion or risk injury!).

I’d also love a set of 30-45 minute daily morning practices that are intermediate/advanced levels…something a dedicated yogi can do every morning before rushing off to work (like a 4-5 days/week program). I want to put in a full practice every day but I don’t have the 60+ minutes on any day that some of the existing challenges/programs include. It’s hard to coordinate the longer practice days and my own schedule with existing programs. If all practices in a program were under 45 minutes it would be more practical to stick with it.

Yes I love a good morning practice, it is such a great way to start the day and it ensures that at minimum, at least I got to the mat today!

Have you tried this challenge? I designed it a couple of years ago to be a set or intermediate short practices that can be done everyday, it would be perfect to do before work.

I would love to attend in-person classes from many of the yoga teachers here. Would you consider offering a yoga festival type event in Victoria where we can attend multiple in-person yoga classes with our favorite DYWM teachers over a weekend?

More Kundalini and I’d love to see classes/workshops on the other 6 limbs. Dosha related stuff would be super cool too.

I love this suggestion, I like to incorporate ayurveda into my teaching programs and design practices with doshas in mind as well as adjust to the season.

You can actually come to victoria and take classes with your favourite teachers, many of us teach regular studio classes each week! We are also thinking of putting on a small retreat in the fall of 2024 here on Saltspring Island for the Master Practitioners program that we just started.

We are filming some longer classes this summer! Nyk has not filmed with us in a while.

The specific classes for athletes are great. I have particularly visited the pre and post stretch classes for runners as well as the injury prevention classes many times over.

More classes like that would be most welcomed
